It’s a little difficult for us to think about fall here in Dallas, seeing as it is still 80 degrees outside – but make no mistake, fall is upon us. The start of October and Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Lattes remind us that it is almost time to change our wardrobes over from sundresses and sandals to sweaters, leggings and everyone’s favorite – boots!
As the choice fall and winter footwear, boots come in all shapes and sizes, but the big trend on the horizon this year is combat boots. Once considered masculine or intense, combat boots are following the path of the leather motorcycle jacket and establishing themselves as the must-have footwear for fall.
Start wearing them now with a flirty sundress for a new twist on a classic look. Carry them through fall by pairing them with leggings, an oversized sweater and a topknot for an effortlessly chic look that’s comfy too! For an even more daring look, try a metallic color boot.
